New Video – Better Oblivion Community Center – Dylan Thomas

For all readers in the US, I write this post in English, especially for Michelle Zauner and Phoebe Bridgers or their Lable managers.

After Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst surprisingly announced a collaboration and released an album as Better Oblivion Community Center, they announced the new tour of the project (including 2 dates in Germany: on May 5 in Berlin – Columbia Theater and on 6 May in Cologne – Kantine). There is also a brand new music video for the song „Dylan Thomas“. The song is about amusement and drunkenness, which also destroyed the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. He has drunk to death in the age of 39 years.

In the video, we follow Oberst and Bridgers to the Better Oblivion Community Center. Here some people evidently indulge in a candlelit occultist ritual that has been transformed into a V.R. Party.

Today, Michelle Zauner shared on Facebook that she has directed the video shoot. With this, Zauner, who heads the band project Japanese Breakfast, proved her creativity in yet another field.

Michelle Zauner has never made a secret of the fact that she finds the songwriting of Phoebe Bridgers pretty good. Also in today’s statement she explains:

Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst are two of my favorite songwriters and lyricists of our time, so it was an honor to get to work with them on the visuals for their new project together. As always I worked with Adam Kolodny, my DP and creative collaborator to bring this cross between an Eyes Wide Shut LA mansion party and the Great Northern Hotel to life.”

Phoebe Bridgers has shown by doing boygenius and now Better Oblivion Community Center that she enjoys collaborating. A musical collaboration of Phoebe Bridgers and Michelle Zauner would be awesome. Please Michelle and Phoebe, do it …. for all your fans.
